Everyone wants to know how to lose belly fat. Most of us tend to pack fat around the belly as soon as we put on a few pounds. What can be done about it?

One of the best ways to lose belly fat is with the right exercise and a healthy diet. There are plenty of companies that claim their diet pill or special remedy will reduce your belly fat. But these claims are unlikely to be true.
The truth is, as we age the proportion of fat around the mid-section (belly), hips and thighs increases. It takes extra effort to keep fat off in those areas. One of the best efforts we can take in reducing belly fat is exercise (besides a good diet).
Here's a simple, but very effective exercise that anyone can do:
Belly Fat Exercise #1:
Belly Fat Reducer:
- Find a counter or table whose table/counter top reaches the middle of your derrière.
- Stand in front of it, about 6 to 8 inches away from it and lean back into it, so you feel the counter top against your derrière.
- Keeping your back straight and arms down, move back and forth slowly from your belly. Feel your belly muscles moving you. The movements don't need to be big - only about 10 to 12 inches from backwards to forwards.
- Repeat approximately 10 - 15 times, and do this exercise several times a day.
Here's another simple exercise:
Belly Fat Exercise #2:
Easy Chair Lifts
- Sit in a chair and grasp the bottom of the chair or the arms with both hands.
- Raise your legs as high as you can and "bicycle pedal" in the air. Try to reach as close to a 90 degree angle as possible. If bicycling is too difficult, just move your legs up and down first doing a "scissors" motion, then together.
